Witness turns waiting on your late friends into a live spectator sport. Lock their ETA, watch the countdown, bet Lag Coins on the real arrival time, and have an Official Witness confirm when they actually show up — at the taco spot or in the voice call.
…25 minutes of staring at the menu.
…25 minutes idling in a pre-game lobby.
Same story every time. Witness bridges both worlds with one loop — so the next “five minutes” is on the record.
The Rally & Witness loop
Works the same whether you're in a restaurant booth or wearing a headset.
Whoever's waiting drops a ping: a Physical Drop (“Tacos at 7:30”) or a Digital Drop (“Lobby open”). Pick who's waiting and who you're waiting for.
Tap 5, 10, 15 minutes — or pick a time on the clock — for what they promised. The countdown goes live for the whole group instantly.
When the late friend claims they made it, they hit one big button: “I'm here.”
Someone already there confirms it — or slams CALL CAP. Fail the 90-second proof and your delay is doubled: Stolen Valor.
They're walking through the door, or you can hear them loading in. Tap confirm and their arrival time is locked in officially.
Tapped “I'm here” while still heating up hot pockets? Call cap. They get 90 seconds to show up in person or speak up in the call — fail and their recorded delay doubles (we keep the original too).
The waiting room
While the late friend scrambles, everyone else gets something to do.
Jordan says 5 minutes. But Jordan is usually about 3× slower than they say, so the app guesses they'll really show up around 7:46.
You just pick: will Jordan get here before 🐇 or after 🐢 that time? Right pickers split the Lag Coins of the wrong pickers.
Everyone waiting guesses the excuse before they walk in: “Had to finish eating”? “Game was updating”? The first right guess takes the whole coin pool. Nobody got it? It rolls into the jackpot.
Prefer chaos? Switch your group to Excuse Bingo — a 3×3 card built from your squad's greatest hits.
A live ticker of squad time burned: minutes waited × people waiting. Two friends waiting 20 minutes for a third? That's 40 minutes of human life, gone.
End of the month
Every month Witness auto-generates a tongue-in-cheek invoice for your group: total hours burned, who stole the most squad time, the Punctual Anchor ⚓ versus The Chronic Delinquent 🐌 — and a forfeit.
Nope. Lag Coins are play money that only exists inside Witness. You earn them by being on time, witnessing, daily check-ins and winning bets — and spend them in the shop.
It's way more fun if they do (they get the big “I'm here” button and the cap-check countdown), but waiters can also mark someone as arrived themselves.
The Official Witness. Every arrival is confirmed by someone already there — and anyone can call cap. Failing the 90-second proof doubles your recorded delay.
We don't want it. You sign up with just a username and password, and you can add a passkey (Face ID, fingerprint, Windows Hello) for one-tap sign-in.
Yes. Witness works in any modern browser and can be installed to your home screen or desktop like a native app.
Only people in your groups — and only for the groups you share. Strangers can't browse or search you; friends need your exact username.
…you'll have a countdown, a witness, and a bet riding on it.
